In 1938, Wassily Kandinsky created the lithograph "Stars" for the French art magazine Verve. Having fled Germany due to the Nazi closure of the Bauhaus school, he settled in Paris. During this period, Kandinsky's artistic style evolved to feature more biomorphic shapes and softer tones, often conveying a peaceful, listless mood.
